Alan is passionate about helping both people and snakes in their encounters with each other.  He is facinated by snakes and has become what may be called a snake whisper.  
Alan has made it his mission to help remove unwanted snakes and give them a chance to live, away from people.  Snakes where part of the circle of life, here in our desert, long before people populated it. They keep the rodent population in check and even, in the case of gopher snakes, eat other snakes.  Snakes become food for roadrunners, hawks, and when small, for shrikes and larger lizards.
